Support

Support

In order to get assistance one uses the following sources of information in the sequence as given.

  1. Self-Service, see below how.
  2. A colleague.
  3. 1^st^ line support your Local (SAP BI) Key User.
  4. 2^nd^ line support (AMS) by raising a Service Request in solution Manager.
  5. 3^rd^ line Support (COE) by escalating the SR.

Service Requests

Raise a Service Request for support. Service Request can be questions or small enhancements which can be delivered with 2-3 days. Mostly this is used for authorization assignments and other standard changes.

In order to get second line support from COE/AMS one needs to log a request in solution Manager.

Incidents

In case a development doesn’t work anymore as it did when approved by the business an incident can be raised via Solution Manager. The test scenario’s and evidence at time of approval will be used to fix the development and reproduce the original state.

Request for Change

In case the development did not deliver a certain functionality at time of approval, a Request for Change (RFC) can be raised to enhance the delivered development.  
